Tea Talk | Holly Smale

11/03/2015

I had planned to do a Tea Talk every Sunday, but seriously, when does my blog ever run to it's schedule? Last week was busy with Halloweek and then I ran out of time and camera battery (story of my life) so my Holly Smale post is here a few days late, but at least it's here!

Halloweek | Day Six | Pumpkin Carving Fun

10/30/2015

I decided it was probably time to do a Halloweek post that didn't involve cupcakes or icing - I love carving pumpkins so me and my sister decided to have a Halloweve pumpkin carving and watching Hocus Pocus.

Halloweek | Day Five | Marshmallow Ghost Cupcakes

For day five of Halloweek I'm bringing another recipe to the table - day four was supposed to be different makeup styles but there was a photography issue - the issue being I didn't take any photos so you're stuck with cake. This time we have chocolate Marshmallow Ghost cupcakes and they are pretty great.

Halloweek | Day Three | Pumpkin Spice Latte and Molten Nutella Hot Chocolate

10/27/2015

Day 3 of Halloweek is here and it's another recipe post - I've really enjoyed finding fun things to make and these were a quick alternative to regular coffee or tea as a yummy autumn drink!

Halloweek | Day Two | The Best Halloween TV Specials

10/26/2015

I am a self confessed wimp - I HATE horror movies, to the point where I can count the ones I've watched on one hand and am completely convinced that if I watch enough I'll end up in one - I am not taking that chance. However, despite hating horror I do love Halloween and I especially like Halloween specials on TV shows - I think they're a cool step out from the ongoing story without the full on fear factor of a scary movie!

Halloweek | Day One | Pumpkin Spiced Cupcakes

10/25/2015

First day of my 'Halloweek' series is a nice Autumnul recipe for Pumpkin Spiced Cupcakes. I made these last week with my sister and was really pleased with how they turned out.

Tea Talk | Holly Bourne

10/24/2015

I really enjoyed writing my last Tea Talk so I decided I'd try to make it a regular thing, it won't always be about a single book - this one is about an author and everything she has written to date - Holly Bourne.

October Love

10/16/2015

October is my ultimate favourite month and since I've been pretty absent from the blog for a while I thought I'd come back with a post on why that is! Plus, it's my blog's first birthday this month so I want to up the creativity again!

ChoccyWoccyDooDah Brighton

9/04/2015

ChoccyWoccyDooDah is one of those places in Brighton where the second you walk in you feel like Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Everything is magical and impossible and larger than life and despite being a resident Brightonian I still count it as a treat everytime I go in!

Tea Talk | The Bone Season

8/22/2015

Three of my favourite things are tea, reading and talking .. so I thought I'd combine it all into a cute little post and talk about the book I'm reading at the moment - The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon.

Life Lately

8/13/2015

I feel like it's been a god damn age since I wrote anything on here, I feel like that because it has been a god damn age! So in the spirit of making sure my blog doesnt commit suicide or go into a deep deep depression I thought it was time to get back to it!

Last Saturday I went up to London to spend the day with my best friend, whilst I was there I was lucky enough to go and see her in the preview of 'Femmetamorphosis' at the Bread and Roses in Clapham. I'd interviewed the cast and the director beforehand so it was really cool to see them all in person and get to watch the show!

The Cast Of ‘Femmetamorphosis’

6/15/2015

So after my interview with the writer and director of ‘Femmetamorphosis’, you can find that here, I decided it would be really nice to talk to the cast too! These are the people bringing the creation to life, first in London and then at Edinburgh Fringe in August! So I got some questions together for them to answer and it was really interesting seeing the different ways in which each of the cast answered them. This is also a special post for me because this is the first time I've written anything about someone close to me - Jade Rambaut (featured on here once before with puppets in Hamleys) I can't wait to see her in this!

Weekly Favourites

6/11/2015

I absolutely LOVE seeing people do 'Favourite Instagrammers' posts, I also love 'Weekly Favourites' but I'm so inconsistent with mine, so I've decided to do a weekly favourites and each week I will focus on one specific area. This week, in celebration of Instagram FINALLY sorting and streamlining the way it looks on a desktop, I've put together a 'Favourite Instagrams of the Week' post.

Interview with Sharron Spice of ‘Femmetamorphosis’

6/08/2015

Elicit Theatre presents ‘Femmetamorphosis’ - a new theatre comedy about a women's lingerie party. It's opening it's doors to the public in London on the 18th June before zipping off to the Edinburgh Fringe later this year. I've been talking to writer, director and actress Sharron Spice about her role in the production and how she got it to where it is now.

Fishy Fishy Brasserie | Brighton

6/07/2015

My Week in Photos | B.Fest

5/31/2015

B.Fest has completely taken over my blog this week, but it's been a blast. I was planning to do a post each day about what we'd been getting up to but it ended being a week filled with not enough sleep and way too many photos so I thought the best way to wrap it all up was to show a little bit of each day..

Cultureground at B-Fest

5/26/2015

Over the last couple of days I have been really lucky and I've been able to find loads out about Brighton Youth Centre and B-Fest which is a Youth Arts Festival they are running all of this week. I was down at B-Fest @ The Level on Saturday and you can read more about that here, but today I went to BYC to take a look at Cultureground - an interactive gallery exhibition by emerging young talent from the local area.

B-Fest 2015

5/24/2015

On Saturday 23rd May I was lucky enough to spend the whole day with the B-Fest events team down at the level in Brighton, they might be some of the coolest people I've met this year and what they are doing is really something special.

5/17/2015

image from Google. Edited on Picmonkey
Don't panic guys, DON'T PANIC, but Festival Season is ALMOST here! I'm clearly not panicking at all that all of the clothes I'm wearing are still thick and made of wool and clearly NOT for summer! To help myself (and you guys) I have put together a list of Festival Fashion Essentials - things I'll be buying for the up and coming music festival events and things that I wish I was buying, but probably won't because, money.

Kay Cannon Is One Of Many Paving The Way ... But To What?

5/16/2015

So before everyone thinks this is one of those things where I sit behind my computer and rant about inequality and quote 'He for She' speeches by Emma Watson ... it isn't.

3/26/2015

You know what's nice? Seeing someone you know do really well at what they're good at! Corrina Taylor is a Brighton based singer/songwriter who I met in my last job. The best thing I ever saw her do was dress up as a desiccated zombie and walk around scaring students so we could take photos for Halloween. I wanted to introduce Corrina and her music to you guys so you can follow her on her very exciting journey!

Favourite Bloggers | February

3/03/2015

So last month I wrote a post about the bloggers I'd been loving that month and I decided I'm going to do a similiar thing every month, this is for two reasons - 1 because I want those bloggers to know that their blogs are loved and also because I think it's nice for you guys to be able to find new ones to read!

So You Don't Have a Job?

3/02/2015

In this day and age so many people aren't working - can't find a job, won't find a job, don't know what's right for them, don't know how to find a job, are too embarrassed to ask for help in looking. 2015 has not been the best year for me work wise and I thought I'd put together a little something on it ...

The Flour Pot Bakery | Brighton

3/01/2015

I love finding new coffee places in Brighton and on a particularly rainy Saturday where everywhere was full to the brim me and my friend were lucky enough to stumble upon the Flour Pot Bakery with a free seat in the window ... needless to say we didn't move for the whole afternoon!

Braid Up!

2/09/2015

I have always been so envious of people who can do cool braids in their hair, so I decided that this year I would start experimenting more and learning more styles. This has been the weekend of the braid!

Dear Diary ...

2/08/2015

I have been a sporadic diary writer since I was about eleven years old. I would always start a new notebook or a new year with big plans of writing a diary entry every day and including photos and anecdotes and memories and in my head it was going to be this amazing venture.

What's in my bag?

2/05/2015

I saw someone do one of these on YouTube the other day and it made me think about what was in my own bag! - a lot of receipts is actually the most accurate answer, but I thought I'd give you nosey loves a sneak peek inside to see what I carry around with me on a day-to-day basis!

Blogging Books

2/04/2015

I love a good bout of stationary, it gets a little out of hand sometimes so I tend to not ever get started on ordering. However, when I happened upon Sighh Designs I couldn't help myself. It took a huge amount of self restraint not to order everything that Polly has on her online shop!

Matte-nificent Nails

2/03/2015

I finally went to Topshop and bought a few colours from their beautiful 'Matte Nails' range. It was a long, hard process deciding which colours to go for. I opted for a metallic 'Bubbles', a pastel pink 'Heartbreaker' and a purpley blue 'Hanky Panky' that is just gorgeous.
