B.Fest has completely taken over my blog this week, but it's been a blast. I was planning to do a post each day about what we'd been getting up to but it ended being a week filled with not enough sleep and way too many photos so I thought the best way to wrap it all up was to show a little bit of each day..
- TUESDAY -
There was a lot of time spent at CultureGround, an exhibition showcasing up and coming young talent. I wrote a whole post about this here!

Jam Brighton took over BYC on Tuesday evening with amazing performances from Eve and Lola, The Drivers, Lily, The Natives and Phovo - all of these acts were amazing and these are some super talented young people.
- WEDNESDAY -

Wednesday saw the turn of Remade in Brighton taking over for a Fashion Trashion show. There were suits made of bubble wrap, hats made of t-shirts and probably t-shirts made of hats. It was really fun and energetic and followed by a great set from local band Varjak.
- THURSDAY -
Thursday was busy! I went down to the Young Inventors Centre pop up shop where they were running 3D Drawing workshops. Kids and young people were dropping in all day to learn how the pen worked. It's kind of like a cross between a glue gun and a 3D printer, you have complete control of what you draw and make with it. I'd never seen one before and it was really cool!
The evening was a loud screaming gig at BYC - on the record it was the Access to Music Takeover ... of the record it was Anti David Cameron gig and it was nice to see the young people of Brighton hating the tories as much as everyone else! The night was filled with cries of 'Down with David Cameron' .. and other things I can't write on here, but use your imagination, I'm sure you'll get there!
- FRIDAY -
On Friday I was really lucky to be able to go and see the dress rehearsal of Great Expectations by Brighton Youth Theatre. It was a short theatre peice about the difference between fashion and style, the way that fashion can influence a person and effect confidence. It was set against the backdrop of the costume exhibition at Brighton Museum which really added to the feel of the peice and every one of the performers was brilliant. I really enjoyed it and the powerful message that ran through every scene.
- SATURDAY -
Saturday was the end of B.Fest and was really busy all day, of course it was this day that I forgot to take any pictures. Audio Active ran a lab where rappers could perform and get critiqued by producers, Cultureground was still open and had a lot of visitors, there was a short skate film shown and then the big after party where all the young people who had been involved all week came back for one final gig, lots of pizza and just a lot of fun.
