Hardly your every day tom cat names, but these are just a few of the characters gracing the Palladium stage in the west end revival of 'Cats' !

I bought tickets to see 'Cats' for my nan for Christmas - I always remember watching the video of the original with her and wishing I could go and see it for myself so when I saw they were doing a revival I knew I had to get tickets. We'd been looking forward to it for weeks and the whole thing blew me away. Every single dancing singing cat on that stage was phenomenal and I didn't know where to look first or what to expect next.

I knew all of the songs - I have the whole album on my iPod so I was a little surprised when I heard 'Rum Tum Tugger' it's had a COMPLETE makeover and he is now something of a hood rat. I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first as 'Rum Tum Tugger' has always been one of my favourite songs. It was interesting to see how they'd changed the musical to make it more modern though and this was one of the songs that had the biggest transformation and Antoine Murray-Straughan who took on the role of The Rum Tum Tugger did an amazing job with the newly revamped Cat!

Notoriously Victoria the White Cat (pictured above) is my absolute favourite character, her solo dance is just breathtaking so I was so excited to see it - Hannah Kenna Thomas did not disappoint and I can't wait to see what she does next! Find her over on Twitter!

The music in 'Cats' is just phenomenal, I'm a big fan of musicals and the soundtracks feature heavily on my iPod and Most Played but Cats is definitely up there in my top 3! Andrew Lloyd Webber is an undisputed musical genius and the songs in this are pure joy to listen to. I have enjoyed listening to the soundtrack since I was little but nothing compared to hearing it live and seeing it accompanied with some truly incredible dance routines.

Of course the two leading ladies of the show were Nicole Scherzinger for the first few weeks and then the wonderful Kerry Ellis who I had the pleasure of seeing perform as Grizabella the Glamour Cat! I heard wonderful things about Nicole in her musical debut and Andrew Lloyd Webber was on Radio 2 with her recording of 'Memory' but Kerry Ellis was a complete superstar and her rendition of 'Memory' live was awe inspiring and completely breathtaking - I feel incredibly lucky to have seen her in this!

I'd like to give a special mention to Cassie Clare who played Cassandra - she was honestly so amazing I couldn't take my eyes off her. She stole focus in almost every number and I'd buy tickets and go again just for her, she is completely magical and mesmerising! This is her musical debut and I can't wait to see what she'll go on to do! You can keep up with her on Twitter.

Have you been to see Cats? If you have let me know what you thought in the comments below! If you haven't been yet then they have tickets up until April 25th so go and check them out - you won't be disappointed! Find them over on the Cats Official Twitter  for all the latest news!
